Thank you. With all our hands of peace.
Sunday 8 June 2025 Shiatsu crossed borders, languages and cities, carrying with it a single message: Shiatsu: Culture of Peace. The fifth edition of International Shiatsu Day was exactly what we hoped for – not an event, but a wave. Thousands of hands listening, welcoming, caring. And to all of you who made that wave come alive, we simply want to say: thank you.
Inside Italy, house of this day, the energy has been overwhelming. Thanks to Shiatsu Practitioner – APOS, FISieo and COS together – for having given a voice and dignity to the entire community. Thanks to’Tatami Association and to The River School in Rome, at the’Shingen Association The Touch in Brescia, and to all those who opened the doors of schools and studios. Special thoughts to the gardens of Villa Cahen To Allerona, where the Municipality and Natascia Minciarelli gifted outdoor Shiatsu, amidst greenery and tranquility: an image that encapsulates the entire meaning of this day. From Turin to Florence, from Parma to Liguria, from Bergamo to Gallarate, each treatment offered was a small gesture of peace.
Inside France, the day has become a whole week: the International Shiatsu Days, from 1st to 8th June. Thanks to the five national organisations — FFST, SPS, UFPST, SNSP, and FFSM — for their wonderful unity, and to Ryoho Shiatsu, the schools, and professionals like Valérie Mazellier who opened their practices to those who wanted to discover Shiatsu for the first time.
And thanks to those who carried this message further: to Shiatsu Society UK and to Shiatsu Society Ireland, all German Shepherd and to the Shiatsu Oasis in Germany, A Florence Chereau di Flo-Ki in The Hague, in Netherlands. A grateful hug to European Shiatsu Federation, with which Shiatsu Without Borders Month he holds the firm conviction that Shiatsu knows no separations.
We'll see you for the sixth edition on Sunday, 14th June 2026. Until then, let's keep building peace — one touch at a time.
